Life has been CRAZY!! This morning as I sit in bed, sipping my coffee and have a napping Jaxson in my arms I figure its time for an update.
As most of you know we went on vacation last week with our friends from Ontario. Initially we wanted to go to an all inclusive and have an “easy” vacay. As the time got closer to booking we became more and more nervous to take Jaxson out of North America. We finally settled on a week in Florida to enjoy the heat and pool. Thank goodness went with our gut instinct and stayed in the “first world”!
Jaxson was an AMAZING little traveler, and despite our very long and late first travel day he didn’t say boo.
Our friends were arriving a few days after we got there so our first couple days in Florida were spend in the pool and taking it easy.
Jaxson LOVED the water and had so much fun floating around. Unfourtunatley that water in the pool that he loved so much messed the remainder of our vacation up! 2 days into our trip Jaxson started with explosive diarrhea. The poor guy was having 10+ episodes per day. We made diaper and pedialyte runs to Target every single day. Thank goodness he was drinking a ton, and we managed to keep him hydrated despite the water pouring out of his backside (too graphic?).
Because of his GI issues the remainder of the pictures you will see of Jaxson he is in just a diaper with a towel under him, or he is in multiple outfits as one outfit lasted no more than an hour or so.
Ange, Brit (Bia) and Keiana finally arrived, and we were so excited to see them!!!
Given Jaxson’s explosive situation we had to change up our day to day plans just a bit. We never made it to the beach, but we did make it to our day in Disney!
Our Disney day was a lot of fun. The weather was super hot, the park was packed. Glad we only did 1 day there as it is crazy expensive and the crowds are overwhelming. Keiana had so much fun on the rides, and we were even able to take Jaxson on some as well!
Besides our day at Disney our trip was spent relaxing and enjoying each others company. Here are some pics I took of Jax and Kiki on our last day.
These 2 seriously kill me! I love them both SO much and I am excited to watch them grow up together.
Here’s a couple more random vacay pics.
As far as the explosion situation is concerned, it lasted the remainer of our time in Florida. Our first day back home Alex took him to the doctor. The doc was pretty sure that Jaxson picked up rotavirus from the pool water and it was nothing to be too concerned about. Our second day home the popping just magically stopped (thank god!!!). He’s back to his old self now, hamming it up and being silly.
This week is his birthday week so stay tuned for insanely cute pictures and a special birthday blog!!
